CSBG Funding Awards
Funding Process
The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program allows communities to allocate their funding to eligible program types at their discretion. The CAP Solano JPA utilizes a competitive review process to allocate funding.
Program applicants submit proposals to CAP Solano JPA. Those proposals are reviewed by a committee comprised of both CAP Solano JPA Board members and Tripartite Advisory Board members. The committee scores the projects based on factors such as community need, prior experience, and project design.
The committee makes a funding recommendation and submits it to the Tripartite Advisory Board and CAP Solano JPA for approval. Once both boards approve the funding recommendation, applicants are notified and the contracting process begins.
